Using UN Data to Analyze Countries

The United Nations is a great resource site for research on country specific topics.

You can use it you are researching any group of countries for a particular policy comparison or product estimation .

You can click on the Country Profile link on the left.

A simple querying tool allows you specific country profiles along parameters.

Eg. India’s economy-

The site requires you to acknolwedge credits and commercial usage

needs special permission. But it remains the most comprehensive and neutral sources of economic data.

A drawback is sometimes data is not updated for latest years.

The solution to that is individual statistics department of government. Historic time series are best used during this tool.
